Hillary, Migel and “Best Dog”, Kosmo

Kosmos-Wedding-Pic

When Migel and I were planning our wedding we decided the most important part of the celebration was to invite all the people we care most about. Looking over the guest list, we realized that one of the most integral members of our family wasn’t on it.  Kosmo, our dog,  is more than a pet,  he is the love of our lives and we couldn’t walk down the aisle without him. So, while Migel and I were taking dance lessons getting ready for the big day, Kosmo was taking lessons of his own with Sit Means Sit!

Kosmo wowed our guests with his excellent behavior and we know it never would have gone so smoothly without Toni’s method of training.  Training with the remote e-collar kept Kosmo calm and at ease and he was so well behaved that our guests couldn’t stop talking about the handsome dog that listened so well!

P.S. Sit Means Sit was not the first time we tried training Kosmo, but it certainly was the only program that has worked for us.

Lisette-and-ErikThanks again for helping us with Sophie on our wedding day. Your training and help has been a wonderful assistance to Sophie, and us. She is such a huge part of our lives and her obedience training has worked well.

Julie and Nellie, the 6 month-old Westie

Hi everyone,

I just want to let you know my dog Nellie is like a whole new dog in just 4 short days. The painter was here all day and she barked briefly when he first arrived and never again and also when he came to my table for lunch she was well behaved and didn’t bother him. He also said this cant be the same dog I had last week. I said it sure is. So thanks again for helping us out. See ya Mon.

Dear Toni and Sit Means Sit Team

I can’t thank you and your team enough for giving me the dog, of my dreams! You and your team are amazing, I recommend you to everyone who comes up to Riley and  My story started a couple of years ago when in a 1 1/2 year time span I lost my two older dogs. My Blue Heeler was 17 years old and my Australian Sheppard was 15 years old; it was devastating. Six months later my husband and daughter were convinced that I was ready for another dog. They found a Blue Heeler mix on a dog rescue website; he was 7 months old. My daughter and I went to meet Riley and we immediately fell in love with him. We brought him home and within a week we realized that Riley had some issues. He couldn’t walk on a leash, was afraid of the car, charged/attacked people, bikes, strollers and other animals. I immediately signed him up for dog obedience classes for the next 7 months without success. It was heartbreaking, I thought Riley would be just like my other two dogs; instead he was scaring our friends/neighbors, destroying my house and injuring me during our walks. I was referred through the dog trainers to Dog-On-It as an option or Riley would have to stay in the backyard and be isolated.

I met with Toni at the local dog, park, I had to have my husband bring Riley as I could no longer control him on the leash and was afraid that he would hurt someone or their dog. Within minutes Toni had him under control and following the simple commands he had learned in dog obedience class. I joined Toni’s classes and began working daily with Riley on the new tools and techniques I learned, within 5 months Riley has become a fantastic dog! People come to my house or see me walking him and now come up to me and ask if this is the same dog. My friends and family are so impressed with Riley and how calm, obedient and kind he has become. I am so happy and my family is thrilled to have such a family dog that we can take to the park, play ball, hike and swim along side. Our family has been blessed with more joy in the house.

Riley has helped me on a personal level bring back my self-confidence and increase my energy level; I am walking, running or hiking daily with Riley and have learned true calm assertive energy in all I do!

Thank you Toni, Elsa, Fred and Chris!!

Licks and wig-wags from “Quin” &” Marnee”

hassling

Thanks Toni for taking us from DEVIL-dom….to polished, polite, cultured, refined and subdued dogs …just like all the other “crafty” Malinois!!!

YOU ROCK!

Toni We thank you for all your hard work and dedication to train dogs and ensure their safety. We have trust in your direction and ideas. We know you watch each dog in the class ( whether there be 5 or 25 dogs) and you seem to recognize the fearfulness, the aggression, or the discomfort of each specific dog. You know when to push or not push. It is really a gift and we admire you immensely. As “Marnee” and “Quinn” Bark….You Rock!

Thanks!

Sydney Munger and a fearful dog

Toni Drugmand trained my fear-aggressive dog on an e-collar. Although some people have issues with e-collars, I am convinced this training saved my dog’s life. I don’t usually respond to posts, but I have a dog with fear aggression, who I could not have managed without Toni’s help.

Avis and Glory

Dear Toni,

I wanted you to know that Glory has been completely rehabilitated and no longer has the “fear-biter” attitude. What an amazing transformation in a dog. THANK YOU for your guidance through this difficult time for Glory and me. You literally saved her life. We take her on walks and are no longer afraid she is going to attack other dogs. We will get back into classes next month as she truly enjoys obedience school.

Just thought you would like to hear a REAL success dog story.

Sincerely,
Avis Culbert and Glory

Jarrod and Marisa Gold vs. Lucy

Jarrod and Lucy

Jarrod and Lucy

Lucy was a stray lab mix who came to us after having wandered the mean streets of Phoenix for an unknown time, doing who knows what with her days and nights. Her behavior became extremely defensive and protective almost immediately after we brought her home. Though very sweet and obedient with my wife and I, she would bark, growl and lunge at visitors to our home. Taking her for a walk was nearly impossible, as she would simply lose all self-control at the sight of another dog. When we had the demonstration of DOG-ON-IT’s training methodology, she exhibited all of these less-than-lovely traits.

We decided to try the training – the change has been incredible. The combination of DOG-ON-IT’s techniques, the training collar and exercise have made a world of difference. Lucy was reacting to new stimuli out of fear; now we are able to break through her strong initial adverse reactions and get her attention to reassure her. Her newfound confidence surprises me everyday and makes teaching new skills very easy. She is now able to meet new people and dogs without anxiously overreacting. A sniff and a kiss and she’s ready to play.

So, big thanks to the DOG-ON-IT team for their hard work with Lucy, and more importantly, us, as the owners. Lucy thanks you too!

Penny Philippi and Harry

Harry is an example of how the remote collar saved a dog by helping them understand the need to change.

Harry is an example of how the remote collar saved a dog by helping them understand the need to change.

Harry was about 9 months-old when he and his brother came to live with me and my two other dogs. I was told he was shy around men and also had a few medical issues, which he got over. But what was perceived to be shyness actually was distrust and aggression. We did training: positive reinforcement, clicker, treats. I even had a trainer come to the house to help, but even after two months he still couldn’t approach Harry unless I had him on a leash. He wouldn’t walk on a leash and he jumped up and around like a crazy dog. He didn’t like anyone except me and that was only sometimes. I tried for months using the Gentle Leader and no-pull harness. All this did was make him fight harder. He would actually bloody his nose and paws trying to escape. I was getting desperate. Nothing was working.

Life was pretty miserable with a dog that was out of control. For the first time in my life I actually had to consider euthanasia. This dog was just not responding to anything. By chance I heard a discussion about e-collars and did some research. I found Toni Drugmand and DOG-ON-IT. I called and explained my desperation and was told “sure, bring him for a demo.” So I muzzled him and went. I was impressed enough with her demo and we started attending classes. He was starting to calm down and listen but I was concerned about his attitude and demeanor. I wasn’t going to give up. If this was his last chance, I needed to be fair about it. One night about eight weeks into it, we were heeling in a group and Harry’s tail was up and wagging and he was having a grand old time. He got it! After that it was all a pleasure. He couldn’t wait to get to class and was a happy camper while he was there.

He is such a different dog these days. He is loving at home and looks forward to working and being invited to DOG-ON-IT demos. He needs a tune-up now and then but he really is an example of how the remote collar saved a dog by helping him understand the need to change. It has taught us both how to effectively communicate with each other. I am so thankful I never had to make that fatal choice.

Happy dog and happy owner! Thanks to Toni.

Maja

majax-mas

We wanted you to know what a changed household we have. Maja has found her “place” in our hearts and home. She has turned into an absolutely awesome dog. I had no idea she was as brilliant as she is. (It took me finding out that she WANTED to be disciplined). She continues to want to learn, begs to go on her daily walks, and it is rare she barks at other dogs. Can you believe that while Mark and I were decorating our front yard and Maverick was running loose, she sat on her place and just watched us. She watched the neighbor’s dogs without moving or making a sound. She continues to surprise us every day.

Thank you for your patience and talent in training. You have given us the best possible gift by helping us understand Maja.

Merry Christmas,
