You can do almost anything or go anywhere if you have a well-trained dog. In this video we have dogs enjoying fun stuff like dock diving, herding and the lure course. All of these events are available for everyone to try at the Paws for a Wish event every January.
This is a fun video to show that all dogs, no matter what breed or size can learn to swim! All dogs were trained to swim using the Sit Means Sit method of training.
This video was taken at Deer Creek Animal Hospital in September, 2011. For many of these Sit Means Sit trained dogs it was their first time chasing the lure.
They just loved it!
This video shows how to teach your dog to get in the pool calmly and without panicking. All the dogs shown in this video are trained with the Sit Means Sit method and have a strong foundation and understanding of the remote collar.
#1 Make sure your dog has an understanding of “Place”
#2 Walk near the edge of the pool so your dog gets comfortable there
#3 Double long-lines with 1 person in the water and 1 person on deck
#4 Single long line with 1 person in the water
#5 Single long line with 1 person on deck
Although the steps seem straightforward it is highly recommended that you do not attempt to teach water entry using the remote collar without a Sit Means Sit professional.
